Hong Kong Foot-Spine Assessment Centre was established in 2008, it is managed by professional orthotists, focusing on foot and spine health. The Center provides a range of professional services, including foot mechanics examinations, custom orthopedic insoles, prosthetics and orthopedic aids, scoliosis orthopedic braces, scoliosis ultrasound scan, and posture analysis assessments.
The Center aims to provide professional products and services. (1) Early detection of problems
Generally speaking, the symptoms of scoliosis are not obvious in the early stage and difficult to detect. It is unreasonable to ask the examinee to go to the hospital for X-ray examination only after very preliminary screening. The Scolioscan® Ultrasound Scoliosis Assessment System can help to find out the symptoms of scoliosis earlier, and provide a more objective and accurate data at the early stage, so as to judge whether there is scoliosis and its severity.
(2) Frequent follow-up actions in a short period of time
During adolescence, the scoliosis condition can be suddenly worse, it is important to monitor the situation closely. The X-ray equipment is restricted to use frequently within a short period of time, and scoliosis condition cannot be closely monitored. The Scolioscan® Ultrasound Scoliosis Assessment System, which combines ultrasound technology and optical three-dimensional spatial positioning technology, does not use radiation, and can be assessed and followed up in a short period of time without any concern of radiation.
(3) Display real–time image
It always takes some time to generate the image after having traditional X-ray examination, however spine images will be displayed in real time by scanning with the Scolioscan® Ultrasound Scoliosis Assessment System, which is more convenient for doctors to view and evaluate the situation immediately.
